Per-seat licence
The “per user per month” price. Harmless at 5 people, a tax on every hire at 20. Total it over three years, not one month.
The per-seat licence is SaaS's dominant pricing model: every added user costs so much per month. €29 per person sounds reasonable, until you multiply by the number of tools and by a growing team.
The honest calculation runs over three years: eight tools at €20-50 per seat, for twenty people, exceed the cost of custom-built software by year three. It is one of the numbers our “Hire or systemize?” calculator produces, and one of the reasons our systems cost the same at 8 or 40 people.
