CSV export
Your data taken out of a tool in a format readable everywhere. The guarantee you can change tools, or prove what you own.
CSV is the simplest exchange format there is: a table in plain text, readable by Excel, by any tool, ten years from now. “CSV export” means: your data can leave.
It is a buying criterion, not a technical detail: a tool without a complete export is a tool you cannot leave. Test it before signing: export, open, check everything is there, history included. And schedule a regular export: it is your own safety copy, independent of the vendor.
